2021-07-28i2c: Create a new Kconfig for I2CSimon Glass1-2/+24
At present we have CONFIG_SPL_I2C but not CONFIG_I2C. The reason CONFIG_I2C is not strictly necessary is that: a) We have CONFIG_SYS_I2C_LEGACY and CONFIG_DM_I2C for the two possible i2c stacks b) In U-Boot proper, we always build drivers/i2c/ regardless of the options Still, it is better to have CONFIG_I2C - it makes U-Boot proper similar to SPL/TPL, so we can (in a future commit) simplify the Makefile rules. Enable it by default, since as above, we have separate options (SYS_I2C_LEGACY and DM_I2C) to control whether it is 'really' enabled. Once we have migrated I2C to driver model, we can drop SYS_I2C_LEGACY and make DM_I2C become I2C. For now, this lets us simplify the Makefile rules. 2021-02-21dm: i2c: allow disabling driver model in SPLIgor Opaniuk1-0/+21
At present if U-Boot proper uses driver model for I2C, then SPL has to also. While this is desirable, it places a significant barrier to moving to driver model in some cases. For example, with a space-constrained SPL it may be necessary to enable CONFIG_SPL_OF_PLATDATA which involves adjusting some drivers. This patch introduces a separate Kconfig symbols for enabling DM_I2C and DM_I2C_GPIO support in SPL. 2019-05-17i2c: mxc: Hide kconfig based control in DM_I2C modeTrent Piepho1-1/+4
These options only apply when not using DM_I2C. When using device trees, the dt will enable and control the speeds of the I2C controller(s) and these configuration options have no effect. So disable them in DM_I2C mode. Otherwise they show up as decoys, and make it look like one is enabling I2C controllers and setting the speed when really it's doing nothing. However, a system using a SPL build will not use DM_I2C in the SPL, even if DM_I2C is enabled for the main u-boot. And so the SPL might use the kconfig based I2C speed controls while the main u-boot does not. 2019-01-15i2c: xiic: Add Xilinx AXI I2C driverMarek Vasut1-0/+6
Add Xilinx AXI I2C controller driver based on the Linux i2c-xiic driver. This driver is stripped of all the IRQ handling and uses pure polling, yet tries to retain most of the structure of the Linux driver to make backporting of fixes easy. Note that the IP has a known limitation on 255 bytes read and write, according to xilinx this is still being worked on [1]. 2017-06-01dm: Rename dev_addr..() functionsSimon Glass1-1/+0
These support the flat device tree. We want to use the dev_read_..() prefix for functions that support both flat tree and live tree. So rename the existing functions to avoid confusion. In the end we will have: 1. dev_read_addr...() - works on devices, supports flat/live tree 2. devfdt_get_addr...() - current functions, flat tree only 3. of_get_address() etc. - new functions, live tree only All drivers will be written to use 1. That function will in turn call either 2 or 3 depending on whether the flat or live tree is in use. Note this involves changing some dead code - the imx_lpi2c.c file.
