2021-09-25clk: Rename clk_get_by_driver_info()Simon Glass1-1/+1

2021-02-02common: Drop asm/global_data.h from common headerSimon Glass1-0/+1
Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. In a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding another large header or in other cases replacing / adding missing header files that had been pulled in, very indirectly. Finally, we have a few cases where we did not need to include <asm/global_data.h> at all, so remove that include. This construct is quite long-winded. In earlier days it made some sense since auto-allocation was a strange concept. But with driver model now used pretty universally, we can shorten this to 'auto'. 2020-07-25treewide: convert (void *)devfdt_get_addr() to dev_read_addr_ptr()Masahiro Yamada1-1/+1
Use the _ptr suffixed variant instead of casting. Also, convert it to dev_read_addr_ptr(), which is safe to CONFIG_OF_LIVE. One curious part is an error check like follows in drivers/watchdog/omap_wdt.c: priv->regs = (struct wd_timer *)devfdt_get_addr(dev); if (!priv->regs) return -EINVAL; devfdt_get_addr() returns FDT_ADDR_T_NONE (i.e. -1) on error. So, this code does not catch any error in DT parsing. dev_read_addr_ptr() returns NULL on error, so this error check will work. 2020-07-10dtoc: extend dtoc to use struct driver_info when linking nodesWalter Lozano1-1/+1
In the current implementation, when dtoc parses a dtb to generate a struct platdata it converts the information related to linked nodes as pointers to struct platdata of destination nodes. By doing this, it makes difficult to get pointer to udevices created based on these information. This patch extends dtoc to use struct driver_info when populating information about linked nodes, which makes it easier to later get the devices created. In this context, reimplement functions like clk_get_by_index_platdata() which made use of the previous approach. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. 2014-03-24mmc: Split mmc struct, rework mmc initialization (v2)Pantelis Antoniou1-32/+22
The way that struct mmc was implemented was a bit of a mess; configuration and internal state all jumbled up in a single structure. On top of that the way initialization is done with mmc_register leads to a lot of duplicated code in drivers. Typically the initialization got something like this in every driver. struct mmc *mmc = malloc(sizeof(struct mmc)); memset(mmc, 0, sizeof(struct mmc); /* fill in fields of mmc struct */ /* store private data pointer */ mmc_register(mmc); By using the new mmc_create call one just passes an mmc config struct and an optional private data pointer like this: struct mmc = mmc_create(&cfg, priv); All in tree drivers have been updated to the new form, and expect mmc_register to go away before long. Remove the in-structure ops and put them in mmc_ops with a constant pointer to it. This makes the mmc structure smaller as well as conserving code space (in theory). All in-tree drivers are converted as well; this is done in a single patch in order to not break git bisect. 2013-07-24mmc: ftsdc010_mci: fix build error if CONFIG_FTSDC010_SDIO is not definedGabor Juhos1-1/+5
The FTSDC010_DCR_FIFO_RST symbol is conditionally defined in <faraday/ftsdc010.h> and it is available available when CONFIG_FTSDC010_SDIO is enabled. However the actual driver code unconditionally uses the FTSDC010_DCR_FIFO_RST constant and this causes build error if CONFIG_FTSDC010_SDIO is not enabled. The following error happens when compiling for the adp-ag101 board: ftsdc010_mci.c: In function 'ftsdc010_request': ftsdc010_mci.c:178: error: 'FTSDC010_DCR_FIFO_RST' undeclared (first use in this function) ftsdc010_mci.c:178: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once ftsdc010_mci.c:178: error: for each function it appears in.) 2013-05-16mmc: update Faraday FTSDC010 for rw performanceKuo-Jung Su1-0/+377
Faraday FTSDC010 is a MMC/SD host controller. Although there is already a driver in current u-boot release, which is modified from eSHDC and contributed by Andes Tech. Its performance is too terrible on Faraday A36x SoC platforms, so I turn to implement this new version of driver which is 10+ times faster than the old one. It's carefully designed to be compatible with Andes chips, so it should be safe to replace it.
