2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. mvneta already supports setting the MAC address but this was only done internally when some other part of U-Boot tries to actually use the interface. This commit exposes this functionality to the ethernet core code so that the MAC addresses of all interfaces are configured correctly even if they are not used before loading Linux. 2018-01-15net: mvneta - Fixed recv() when multiple packets have arrived.Jason Brown1-1/+5
This patch fixes a problem in the mvneta driver where if more than one packet arrives between calls to mvneta_recv(), the additional descriptors will be marked as free even though only one descriptor has been read and processed from the receive queue. This causes the additional packet(s) to be delayed until the next packet arrives. >From this point on all packets will be delayed because the receive queue will contain unprocessed packets but the hardware shows no busy descriptors. These support the flat device tree. We want to use the dev_read_..() prefix for functions that support both flat tree and live tree. So rename the existing functions to avoid confusion. In the end we will have: 1. dev_read_addr...() - works on devices, supports flat/live tree 2. devfdt_get_addr...() - current functions, flat tree only 3. of_get_address() etc. - new functions, live tree only All drivers will be written to use 1. That function will in turn call either 2 or 3 depending on whether the flat or live tree is in use. Note this involves changing some dead code - the imx_lpi2c.c file. 2016-09-27net: mvneta: Add support for Armada 3700 SoCStefan Roese1-1/+35
This patch adds support for the Armada 3700 SoC to the Marvell mvneta network driver. Not like A380, in Armada3700, there are two layers of decode windows for GBE: First layer is: GbE Address window that resides inside the GBE unit, Second layer is: Fabric address window which is located in the NIC400 (South Fabric). To simplify the address decode configuration for Armada3700, we bypass the first layer of GBE decode window by setting the first window to 4GB. 2016-01-14net: mvneta: Convert to driver modelStefan Roese1-98/+132
Update this driver to support driver model. As all MVEBU boards using this driver are converted with this patch, the non-driver-model code can be removed completely. This is also the reason why this patch is quite big and includes a) the driver change and b) the platform change. As its not git-bisect save otherwise. With this conversion, some parameters are now extracted from the DT instread of using the config header defines. The supported properties right now are: PHY-mode ("phy-mode") and PHY-address ("reg"). The base addresses for the ethernet controllers can be removed from the header files as well. Please note that this patch also removes the E1000 network driver from some MVEBU config headers. This is necessary, as with DM_ETH configured and the e1000 driver enabled, the PCI driver also needs to support DM. But the MVEBU PCI(e) driver still needs to get ported to DM. When this is done, the E1000 driver can be enabled again.
