2020-01-10rtc: add support for DS3232 deviceHan Nandor1-0/+1
DS3232 is an i2c RTC with 236 bytes of battery-backed SRAM. Add an RTC driver for DS3232 device, which provides time and date support. Also read and write functions are provided, which can be used to access the SRAM memory. Signed-off-by: Nandor Han <nandor.han@vaisala.com>
2019-12-07rtc: move date.c from drivers/rtc/ to lib/AKASHI Takahiro1-1/+0
In the next commit, rtc_mktime(), for compatibility with linux, will be implemented using rtc_mktime(), which is no longer drivers/rtc specific. So move this file under lib/. Signed-off-by: AKASHI Takahiro <takahiro.akashi@linaro.org>
2019-07-22rtc: Add rtc driver for stm32mp1Patrick Delaunay1-0/+1

2018-10-09rtc: Allow use of RTC in SPL and TPLSimon Glass1-1/+1
Add Kconfig options so that the RTC can be used in SPL and TPL. This is helpful for accessing the contents of CMOS RAM, for example. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2018-07-20drivers: rtc: resolve year 2038 problem in rtc_to_tmHeinrich Schuchardt1-0/+1
Our implementation of rtc_to_tm() cannot handle dates of more than 0x7fffffff seconds after 1970-01-01. Adopt the Linux kernel implementation. Signed-off-by: Heinrich Schuchardt <xypron.glpk@gmx.de>
2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-3/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2017-06-16powerpc, 5xxx, 512x: remove support for mpc5xxx and mpc512xHeiko Schocher1-1/+0
There was for long time no activity in the mpx5xxx area. We need to go further and convert to Kconfig, but it turned out, nobody is interested anymore in mpc5xxx, so remove it. Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de>
2017-06-12powerpc, 8xx: remove support for 8xxHeiko Schocher1-1/+0
There was for long time no activity in the 8xx area. We need to go further and convert to Kconfig, but it turned out, nobody is interested anymore in 8xx, so remove it (with a heavy heart, knowing that I remove here the root of U-Boot). Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de>
2017-05-22Drop three-wire serial (TWS) supportSimon Glass1-1/+0
This subsystem has not been converted to driver model, there is only one driver and only one board that uses it. Drop it and its CONFIG option. Also drop the rtc4543 RTC driver since it uses TWS. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2015-05-06dm: rtc: sandbox: Add a driver for the sandbox I2C RTCSimon Glass1-0/+3
Add a driver which communicates with the sandbox I2C emulation RTC device and permits it to be used in U-Boot. This driver is very simple - it just reads and writes selected I2C registers in the device. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2015-05-06dm: rtc: sandbox: Add an emulated I2C RTC deviceSimon Glass1-0/+1
Add a sandbox I2C emulation device which emulates a real-time clock. The clock works off an offset from the current system time, and supports setting and getting the clock, as well as access to byte-width regisers in the RTC. It does not support changing the system time. This device can be used for testing the 'date' command on sandbox, as well as the RTC uclass. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2015-05-06dm: rtc: Add a uclass for real-time clocksSimon Glass1-0/+2
Add a uclass for real-time clocks which support getting the current time, setting it and resetting the chip to a known-working state. Some RTCs have additional registers which can be used to store settings, so also provide an interface to these. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2014-02-19kbuild: use Linux Kernel build scriptsMasahiro Yamada1-1/+1
Now we are ready to switch over to real Kbuild. This commit disables temporary scripts: scripts/{Makefile.build.tmp, Makefile.host.tmp} and enables real Kbuild scripts: scripts/{Makefile.build,Makefile.host,Makefile.lib}. This switch is triggered by the line in scripts/Kbuild.include -build := -f $(if $(KBUILD_SRC),$(srctree)/)scripts/Makefile.build.tmp obj +build := -f $(if $(KBUILD_SRC),$(srctree)/)scripts/Makefile.build obj We need to adjust some build scripts for U-Boot. But smaller amount of modification is preferable. Additionally, we need to fix compiler flags which are locally added or removed. In Kbuild, it is not allowed to change CFLAGS locally. Instead, ccflags-y, asflags-y, cppflags-y, CFLAGS_$(basetarget).o, CFLAGS_REMOVE_$(basetarget).o are prepared for that purpose. 2010-11-17Switch from archive libraries to partial linkingSebastien Carlier1-2/+2
Before this commit, weak symbols were not overridden by non-weak symbols found in archive libraries when linking with recent versions of binutils. As stated in the System V ABI, "the link editor does not extract archive members to resolve undefined weak symbols". This commit changes all Makefiles to use partial linking (ld -r) instead of creating library archives, which forces all symbols to participate in linking, allowing non-weak symbols to override weak symbols as intended. This approach is also used by Linux, from which the gmake function cmd_link_o_target (defined in config.mk and used in all Makefiles) is inspired. The name of each former library archive is preserved except for extensions which change from ".a" to ".o". This commit updates references accordingly where needed, in particular in some linker scripts. This commit reveals board configurations that exclude some features but include source files that depend these disabled features in the build, resulting in undefined symbols. Known such cases include: - disabling CMD_NET but not CMD_NFS; - enabling CONFIG_OF_LIBFDT but not CONFIG_QE. Signed-off-by: Sebastien Carlier <sebastien.carlier@gmail.com>

2008-09-09Makefile: compile and link each module just onceWolfgang Denk1-3/+3
Several source files need to be compiled and linked when one or more config options are selected. To allow for easy selection in the Makefiles yet to avoild multiple compilation (which costs build time) and especially multiple linking (which causes errors), we use "COBJS = $(sort COBJS-y)" which eliminates duplicates.
