2019-02-15sunxi: display: Implement fallback to ddc probe when hpd failsPriit Laes1-7/+21
There are HDMI displays where hpd pin is not connected, thus we cannot get it to work unless we specifically set the resolution. Rework the display probing, so hotplug detect failure causes fallback to probing ddc for EDID data. Signed-off-by: Priit Laes <priit.laes@paf.com>
2019-02-15sunxi: display: Move DDC PLL setup to HDMI initPriit Laes1-7/+7
Move PLL initialization code to single place so we won't call it every time we query for EDID data. Signed-off-by: Priit Laes <priit.laes@paf.com>

2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2018-03-09sunxi: video: mark framebuffer as EFI reserved memoryHeinrich Schuchardt1-0/+8
Inform the EFI subsystem that the framebuffer memory is reserved. Without the patch the AllocatePool boot service allocates memory from the framebuffer which will will be overwritten by screen output. Signed-off-by: Heinrich Schuchardt <xypron.glpk@gmx.de>
2018-01-22sunxi: Fix display timing flagsGiulio Benetti1-0/+2
flags member of struct timing was not initialized, this took to unpredictable behaviour of display flags, such DISPLAY_FLAGS_HSYNC_HIGH instead of _LOW etc. Init timing->flags = 0 Signed-off-by: Giulio Benetti <giulio.benetti@micronovasrl.com> Acked-by: Maxime Ripard <maxime.ripard@free-electrons.com> Reviewed-by: Jagan Teki <jagan@openedev.com>

2017-04-20sunxi: video: Convert lcdc to use struct display_timingJernej Skrabec1-2/+33
Video driver for older Allwinner SoCs uses cfb console framework which in turn uses struct ctfb_res_modes to hold timing informations. However, DM video framework uses different structure - struct display_timing. It makes more sense to convert lcdc to use new timing structure because all new drivers should use DM video framework and older drivers might be rewritten to use new framework too.
