2020-05-19common: Drop linux/delay.h from common headerSimon Glass1-0/+1
Move this uncommon header out of the common header. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-05-19Fix some checkpatch warnings in calls to udelay()Simon Glass1-3/+3
Fix up some incorrect code style in calls to functions in the linux/time.h header, mostly udelay(). Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-05-19command: Remove the cmd_tbl_t typedefSimon Glass1-1/+1
We should not use typedefs in U-Boot. They cannot be used as forward declarations which means that header files must include the full header to access them. Drop the typedef and rename the struct to remove the _s suffix which is now not useful. This requires quite a few header-file additions. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2010-07-05Make sure that argv[] argument pointers are not modified.Wolfgang Denk1-1/+1
The hush shell dynamically allocates (and re-allocates) memory for the argument strings in the "char *argv[]" argument vector passed to commands. Any code that modifies these pointers will cause serious corruption of the malloc data structures and crash U-Boot, so make sure the compiler can check that no such modifications are being done by changing the code into "char * const argv[]". This modification is the result of debugging a strange crash caused after adding a new command, which used the following argument processing code which has been working perfectly fine in all Unix systems since version 6 - but not so in U-Boot: int main (int argc, char **argv) { while (--argc > 0 && **++argv == '-') { /* ====> */ while (*++*argv) { switch (**argv) { case 'd': debug++; break; ... default: usage (); } } } ... } The line marked "====>" will corrupt the malloc data structures and usually cause U-Boot to crash when the next command gets executed by the shell. With the modification, the compiler will prevent this with an error: increment of read-only location '*argv' N.B.: The code above can be trivially rewritten like this: while (--argc > 0 && **++argv == '-') { char *arg = *argv; while (*++arg) { switch (*arg) { ... 2010-02-01smc91111_eeprom: fix linking errorMike Frysinger1-3/+2
Building for a bf533-stamp ends up with this error: smc91111_eeprom.o: In function `smc91111_eeprom': examples/standalone/smc91111_eeprom.c:58: undefined reference to `memset' make[2]: *** [smc91111_eeprom] Error 1 The new eth_struct definition means gcc has to zero out the structure on the stack, and some gcc versions optimize this with an implicit call to memset. So tweak the structure style to avoid that gcc feature. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org> Signed-off-by: Ben Warren <biggerbadderben@gmail.com>
2010-01-19Fix breakage in SMC EEPROM standalone applicationsBen Warren1-2/+0
Commit 6a45e384955262882375a2785426dc65aeb636c4 (Make getenv_IPaddr() global) inadvertently added ' #include "net.h" ' to the standalone programs, creating duplicate definitions of 'struct eth_device'. This patch removes the local definitions and removes other code that breaks due to the change in definition.
