2019-11-21env: Finish migration of common ENV optionsTom Rini1-4/+0
- In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. 2019-11-21env: Remove useless CONFIG_ENV_SIZE_REDUND and fix ENV_IS_REDUND checkTom Rini1-1/+0
We have CONFIG_ENV_SIZE_IS_REDUND but don't really use it. We have one board where we can simply multiple CONFIG_ENV_SIZE by two for the same result. The other place where we could but were not previously using this is for where env_internal.h checks for if we should set ENV_IS_EMBEDDED. This seems like the most likely use, historically, of the variable, but it was not used. Add logic to check for this now. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. 2018-03-16Convert all of CONFIG_CONS_INDEX to KconfigTom Rini1-1/+0
This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_CONS_INDEX We have existing entries for this option in a number of places, with different guards on them. They're also sometimes used for things not directly inside of the serial driver. First, introduce a new symbol to guard the use of CONFIG_CONS_INDEX, so that in the case where we don't need this for the serial driver, but for some other use, we can still do it. Next, consolidate all of these into the single entry in drivers/serial/Kconfig. Finally, introduce CONS_INDEX_[023456] so that we can imply a correct value here to make the defconfig side of this smaller. 2018-03-13Move CONFIG_PHY_ADDR to KconfigStefan Mavrodiev1-1/+0
CONFIG_PHY_ADDR is used for old-style configuration. This makes impossible changing the PHY address, if multiple boards share a same config header file (for example include/configs/sunxi-common.h). Moving this to Kconfig helps overcoming this issue. It's defined as entry inside PHYLIB section. After the implemention, moveconfig was run. The issues are: - edb9315a - CONFIG_PHYLIB is not enabled. Entry is deleted. - ds414 - CONFIG_PHYLIB is in incompatible format: { 0x1, 0x0 }. This entry is also deleted. - devkit3250 - The PHY_ADDR is in hex format (0x1F). Manually CONFIG_PHY_ADDR=31 is added in the defconfig. After the changes the suspicious defconfigs passes building. 2017-07-26Convert CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC/NAND/UBI and NOWHERE to KconfigSimon Glass1-9/+0
This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_NAND CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_UBI CONFIG_ENV_IS_NOWHERE In fact this already exists for sunxi as a 'choice' config. However not all the choices are available in Kconfig yet so we cannot use that. It would lead to more than one option being set. In addition, one purpose of this series is to allow the environment to be stored in more than one place. So the existing choice is converted to a normal config allowing each option to be set independently. There are not many opportunities for Kconfig updates to reduce the size of this patch. This was tested with ./tools/moveconfig.py -i CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC And then manual updates. This is because for CHAIN_OF_TRUST boards they can only have ENV_IS_NOWHERE set, so we enforce that via Kconfig logic now. 2016-12-03cmd: move CMD_PXE to KconfigYann E. MORIN1-1/+0
Currently, CMD_PXE is forcibly enabled in config_distro_defaults.h, so that general purpose distributions can rely on it being defined. This header is included, under conditions or not, by various archs or famillies of archs / SoCs. However, it is very possible that boards based on those SoCs will not have a physical ethernet connector at all, even if the have a MAC; for example, the Nanopi Neo AIR (sunxi H3) does not. It is also possible that network booting is absolutely not necessary for a device. However, it is not possible to disable the PXE command, as it is forcibly enabled and is non-configurable. But it turns out we already have a config option to build a distro-ready image, in the name of DISTRO_DEFAULTS. Move CMD_PXE out of the hard-coded config_distro_defaults.h into a Kconfig option, that gets selected by DISTRO_DEFAULTS when it is set. Signed-off-by: "Yann E. This moves what was in arch/arm/cpu/armv7/omap-common in to arch/arm/mach-omap2 and moves arch/arm/cpu/armv7/{am33xx,omap3,omap4,omap5} in to arch/arm/mach-omap2 as subdirectories. All refernces to the former locations are updated to the current locations. For the logic to decide what our outputs are, consolidate the tests into a single config.mk rather than including 4.
