2021-09-08arm: Finish migration of CONFIG_MACH_TYPETom Rini1-2/+0
As this is only useful when booting with ATAGs, which are now largely disabled, remove this value for the remaining platforms. We have a few places in the code that had been testing for MACH_TYPE as a sort of internal logic. Update those to use different but still correct CONFIG symbols. 2021-09-07arm: Disable ATAGs supportTom Rini1-5/+0
With the exceptions of ds109, ds414, icnova-a20-swac, nokia_rx51 and stemmy, disable ATAG support. A large number of platforms had enabled support but never supported a kernel so old as to require it. Further, some platforms are old enough to support both, but are well supported by devicetree booting, and have been for a number of years. This is because some of the ATAGs related functions have been re-used to provide the same kind of information, but for devicetree or just generally to inform the user. When needed still, rename these functions to get_board_revision() instead, to avoid conflicts. In other cases, these functions were simply unused, so drop them. 2021-09-07imx: Convert SERIAL_TAG support to ENV_VARS_UBOOT_RUNTIME_CONFIGTom Rini1-1/+0
No iMX platforms have supported ATAG-based booting. They have however re-used the CONFIG_SERIAL_TAG option as a way to enable support of reading the OTP fuses and setting the serial# environment variable in some cases. Change the warp7 support to use this symbol, use this for updating the rest of the imx7 code, and update the imx8 conditionals. 2020-05-08cmd: mem: Remove CONFIG_SYS_MEMTEST_SCRATCH mappingMichal Simek1-1/+0
There is no real need to exactly define space for saving patterns for alternate memory test. It is much easier to allocate space on the stack and use it instead of trying to find out space where pattern should be saved. For example if you want to test the whole DDR memory you can't save patter to DDR and you need to find it out. On Xilinx devices DDR or OCM addresses were chosen but that means that OCM needs to be mapped and U-Boot has access permission there. It is easier to remove this limitation and simply save it on stack because it is very clear that memory test can't rewrite U-Boot and U-Boot has also full access to memory where runs from. - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. 2019-04-25apalis/colibri_imx6/imx6ull: make sure loadaddr does not collideStefan Agner1-2/+2
Currently $loadaddr and $fdt_addr_r point to the same address. This might be not ideal for some distro boot scripts which make use of $loadaddr after loading the device tree. Make sure the two variables point to two different addresses. Moving $loadaddr is not entirly trivial since it is defined in mx6_common.h. Move $fdt_addr_r and $ramdisk_addr_r by 1MiB, which should be enough for scripts. 2019-04-13configs: move CONFIG_MXC_OCOTP to KconfigMarcel Ziswiler1-5/+0
While commit 3e020f03e94f ("driver: misc: add MXC_OCOTP Kconfig entry") introduced a Kconfig entry it did not actually migrate all configurations to using it. As CONFIG_MXC_OCOTP was in mx{6/7}_common.h enable it by default on those architectures. Additionally, also enable it on ARCH_IMX8M and ARCH_VF610 where all current members enabled it through their legacy configuration header files. Add support for distro boot. This is especially helpful for external devices. There is a global boot command which scans a predefined list of boot targets: run distro_bootcmd As well as direct boot commands such as: run bootcmd_mmc1 run bootcmd_mmc2 run bootcmd_usb run bootcmd_dhcp ... Refer to doc/README.distro for details. While at it, remove the CONFIG_DRIVE_TYPES define which has not been used and was meant to be used for multi device boot support which is now provided by distroboot.
