2021-09-08arm: Finish migration of CONFIG_MACH_TYPETom Rini1-2/+0
As this is only useful when booting with ATAGs, which are now largely disabled, remove this value for the remaining platforms. We have a few places in the code that had been testing for MACH_TYPE as a sort of internal logic. Update those to use different but still correct CONFIG symbols. TFTP transfer size can be used to re-size the TFTP progress bar on single line based on the server reported file size. The support for this has been around from 2019, but it was never converted to proper Kconfig. While adding this new Kconfig, enable it by default for OMAP2+ and K3 devices also. - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_NAND CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_UBI CONFIG_ENV_IS_NOWHERE In fact this already exists for sunxi as a 'choice' config. However not all the choices are available in Kconfig yet so we cannot use that. It would lead to more than one option being set. In addition, one purpose of this series is to allow the environment to be stored in more than one place. So the existing choice is converted to a normal config allowing each option to be set independently. There are not many opportunities for Kconfig updates to reduce the size of this patch. This was tested with ./tools/moveconfig.py -i CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC And then manual updates. This is because for CHAIN_OF_TRUST boards they can only have ENV_IS_NOWHERE set, so we enforce that via Kconfig logic now. Now, CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC seems equivalent to CONFIG_MMC. Let's create an entry for "config GENERIC_MMC" with "default MMC", then convert all macro defines in headers to Kconfig. Almost all of the defines will go away. I see only two exceptions: configs/blanche_defconfig configs/sandbox_noblk_defconfig They define CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC, but not CONFIG_MMC. Something might be wrong with these two boards, so should be checked later. Anyway, this is the output of the moveconfig tool. Commit 7a777f6d6f35 ("mmc: Add generic Kconfig option") created a Kconfig entry for this option without any actual moves, then commit 44c798799f66 ("sunxi: Use Kconfig CONFIG_MMC") moved instances only for SUNXI. We generally do not like such partial moves. This kind of work is automated by tools/moveconfig.py, so it is pretty easy to complete this move. I am adding "default ARM || PPC || SANDBOX" (suggested by Tom). This shortens the configs and will ease new board porting. Since commit aa7a648747d8c704a9a81c9e493d386930724e9d ("net: Stop including NFS overhead in defragment max") the following has been reproducibly observed while trying to transfer data over TFTP: Load address: 0x80408000 Loading: EHCI timed out on TD - token=0x8008d80 T EHCI timed out on TD - token=0x88008d80 Rx: failed to receive: -5 This patch fixes this by lowering our TFTP block size to be within the standard maximal de-fragmentation aka IP packet size again. 2015-12-01dm: pci: Avoid a driver model build error with CONFIG_CMD_PCI_ENUMSimon Glass1-1/+0
This is not supported with driver model, so print a message instead of generating a build error. Rescanning PCI is not yet implemented. This function will be implemented later once some additional PCI driver model improvements are merged. It was confirmed on the mailing list that no one on the tegra side will miss this feature, so it is disabled for tegra. Enable CONFIG_IP_DEFRAG and set CONFIG_TFTP_BLOCKSIZE to 16384. This increases the tftp download speed considerably. While at it enable CONFIG_TFTP_TSIZE which limits the progress bar to fifty '#' independent of the downloaded file size. 2015-08-13kconfig: add config option for shell promptNikita Kiryanov1-1/+0
Add option to set shell prompt string from menuconfig and migrate boards globally. The migration is done as follows: - Boards that explicitly and unconditionally set CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT had the entry moved to their defconfig files. - Boards that defined some kind of #ifdef logic which selects the CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT (for example qemu-mips) got an #undef CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT right before the #ifdef logic and were left alone. - This change forces CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT to be a per board decision, and thus CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT was removed from all <soc>_common.h and <arch>_common.h files. This results in a streamlined default value across platforms, and includes the following files: spear-common, sunxi-common, mv-common, ti_armv7_common, tegra-common, at91-sama5_common, and zynq-common. - Boards that relied on <arch/soc>_common.h values of CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT were not updated in their respective defconfig files under the assumption that since they did not explicitly define a value, they're fine with whatever the default is. - On the other hand, boards that relied on a value defined in some <boards>_common.h file such as woodburn_common, rpi-common, bur_am335x_common, ls2085a_common, siemens_am33x_common, and omap3_evm_common, had their values moved to the respective defconfig files. - The define V_PROMPT was removed, since it is not used anywhere except for assigning a value for CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT. 2015-03-04ARM: tegra: move common config defines centrallyStephen Warren1-2/+0
All boards need CONFIG_BOARD_EARLY_INIT_F, and many actively need CONFIG_BOARD_LATE_INIT. Move both of these into tegra-common.h so that board config headers don't need to repeatedly define them. Later commits will add new code in board_late_init() which applies to all boards, so CONFIG_BOARD_LATE_INIT should be enabled for all Tegra boards. 2014-12-11dm: i2c: tegra: Convert to driver modelSimon Glass1-3/+0
This converts all Tegra boards over to use driver model for I2C. The driver is adjusted to use driver model and the following obsolete CONFIGs are removed: - CONFIG_SYS_I2C_INIT_BOARD - CONFIG_I2C_MULTI_BUS - CONFIG_SYS_MAX_I2C_BUS - CONFIG_SYS_I2C_SPEED - CONFIG_SYS_I2C This has been tested on: - trimslice (no I2C) - beaver - Jetson-TK1 It has not been tested on Tegra 114 as I don't have that board. 2014-10-22arm: tegra: initial support for apalis t30Marcel Ziswiler1-0/+76
This patch adds board support for the Toradex Apalis T30 a computer on module which can be used on different carrier boards. For the sake of ease of use we do not distinguish between different carrier boards for now as the base module features are deemed sufficient enough for regular booting.
