2021-09-04i2c: Convert CONFIG_POWER_I2C et al to KconfigSimon Glass1-2/+0
This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_POWER_I2C CONFIG_POWER_LEGACY They are handled at the same time due to a dependency between them. Update the Makefile rule to use legacy power only in U-Boot proper. Unfortunately a separate rule is needed in SPL to be able to build legacy power. Add SPL related symbols for both, to allow for SPL-only usage. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Jaehoon Chung <jh80.chung@samsung.com> [trini: More SPL related cleanups, reword commit message] Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2021-09-04power: Rename CONFIG_POWER to CONFIG_POWER_LEGACYSimon Glass1-1/+1
This option is used in pre-driver model code and much of it has never been converted to driver model. We want to add a new option to enable power support, so we can use a simple rule in the Makefile. Rename this one, which is really about a particular implementation of power. Also update the pmic.h header file so it either includes the legacy API or the driver model one. 2021-09-01Convert CONFIG_SKIP_LOWLEVEL_INIT et al to KconfigTom Rini1-3/+0
This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_SKIP_LOWLEVEL_INIT CONFIG_SKIP_LOWLEVEL_INIT_ONLY In order to do this, we need to introduce SPL and TPL variants of these options so that we can clearly disable these options only in SPL in some cases, and both instances in other cases. 2021-08-30Convert CONFIG_SYS_I2C_EEPROM_ADDR et al to KconfigTom Rini1-4/+0
- Rename usages of CONFIG_SYS_DEF_EEPROM_ADDR to CONFIG_SYS_I2C_EEPROM_ADDR based on current usage. - Convert CONFIG_SYS_I2C_EEPROM_ADDR, CONFIG_SYS_I2C_EEPROM_ADDR_LEN, CONFIG_SYS_I2C_EEPROM_BUS, CONFIG_CONFIG_SYS_EEPROM_SIZE CONFIG_SYS_EEPROM_PAGE_WRITE_BITS and CONFIG_SYS_EEPROM_PAGE_WRITE_DELAY_MS to Kconfig. We move these symbols around a bit and add appropriate dependencies to them. In some cases, we now add a correct default value as well. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2021-08-30eeprom: Drop CONFIG_ENV_EEPROM_IS_ON_I2C usageTom Rini1-1/+0

2019-07-09at91, omap2plus: configs: migrate CONFIG_ENV_ to defconfigsMarkus Klotzbuecher1-5/+0
Enable the extended ENV options for AT91 and OMAP2PLUS in order to be able to use CONFIG_ENV_UBI_* on these architectures. As this change also makes the configs ENV_SIZE, ENV_SECT_SIZE, ENV_OFFSET visible to AT91 and OMAP2PLUS, migrate users of these to KConfig. This migration was run using an extended moveconfig.py which evaluates expressions such as "(512 << 10)". See patch ("moveconfig: expand simple expressions"). All modified boards were built with SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH=0 before and after the change and successfully confirmed that the identical binary is generated (the only exception was igep00x0, which does not define CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_UBI in the original board header. Once that is defined, the test passes too). hs: rebased patch to: 68b90e57bc: "configs: tinker-rk3288 disable CONFIG_SPL_I2C_SUPPORT" Signed-off-by: Markus Klotzbuecher <markus.klotzbuecher@kistler.com> Cc: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de> Cc: Eugen Hristev <eugen.hristev@microchip.com> Cc: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2018-03-16Convert all of CONFIG_CONS_INDEX to KconfigTom Rini1-2/+0
This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_CONS_INDEX We have existing entries for this option in a number of places, with different guards on them. They're also sometimes used for things not directly inside of the serial driver. First, introduce a new symbol to guard the use of CONFIG_CONS_INDEX, so that in the case where we don't need this for the serial driver, but for some other use, we can still do it. Next, consolidate all of these into the single entry in drivers/serial/Kconfig. Finally, introduce CONS_INDEX_[023456] so that we can imply a correct value here to make the defconfig side of this smaller. 2016-09-06TI: Rework SRAM definitions and maximumsTom Rini1-1/+0
On all TI platforms the ROM defines a "downloaded image" area at or near the start of SRAM which is followed by a reserved area. As it is at best bad form and at worst possibly harmful in corner cases to write in this reserved area, we stop doing that by adding in the define NON_SECURE_SRAM_IMG_END to say where the end of the downloaded image area is and make SRAM_SCRATCH_SPACE_ADDR be one kilobyte before this. At current we define the end of scratch space at 0x228 bytes past the start of scratch space this this gives us a lot of room to grow. As these scratch uses are non-optional today, all targets are modified to respect this boundary. 2016-08-27ARM: Move SYS_CACHELINE_SIZE over to KconfigTom Rini1-1/+0
This series moves the CONFIG_SYS_CACHELINE_SIZE. First, in nearly all cases we are mirroring the values used by the Linux Kernel here. Also, so long as (and in this case, it is true) we implement flushes in hunks that are no larger than the smallest implementation (and given that we mirror the Linux Kernel, again we are fine) it is OK to align higher. The biggest changes here are that we always use 64 bytes for CPU_V7 even if for example the underlying core is only 32 bytes (this mirrors Linux). Second, we say ARM64 uses 64 bytes not 128 (as found in the Linux Kernel) as we do not need multi-platform support (to this degree) and only the Cavium ThunderX 88xx series has a use for such large alignment. 2016-08-07usb: add (move) CONFIG_USB_HOST to KconfigMasahiro Yamada1-1/+0
The meaning of CONFIG_USB in U-Boot is different from that in Linux. As you see in drivers/usb/Kconfig of Linux, CONFIG_USB enables the USB host controller support, while CONFIG_USB_SUPPORT is used to enable the whole of the USB sub-system. When I added CONFIG_USB into Kconfig by commit 6e7e9294d321 ("usb: add basic USB configs in Kconfig"), I planned to follow the Linux's convention, i.e. CONFIG_USB to enable/disable the USB host support. Then, commit 68f7c5db2d1e ("usb: Generic USB Kconfig option, that fits both host and gadget and comments") changed the logic of the CONFIG_USB to point to the whole of the USB sub-system. As a result, currently we do not have an option for USB host. This commit adds CONFIG_USB_HOST, which will be useful to compile in the USB host support code. CONFIG_USB_HOST is not referenced at all, but strangely some boards define it in board headers. I removed them because USB_HOST will be selected in Kconfig going forward. 2016-07-02autoboot: remove CONFIG_ZERO_BOOTDELAY_CHECKMasahiro Yamada1-1/+0
As the help message of CONFIG_BOOTDELAY says, CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=-2 means the autoboot with no delay, with no abort check even if CONFIG_ZERO_BOOTDELAY_CHECK is defined. To sum up, the autoboot behaves as follows: [1] CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=0 && CONFIG_ZERO_BOOTDELAY_CHECK=y autoboot with no delay, but you can abort it by key input [2] CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=0 && CONFIG_ZERO_BOOTDELAY_CHECK=n autoboot with no delay, with no check for abort [3] CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=-1 disable autoboot [4] CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=-2 autoboot with no delay, with no check for abort As you notice, [2] and [4] come to the same result, which means we do not need CONFIG_ZERO_BOOTDELAY_CHECK. We can control all the cases only by CONFIG_BOOTDELAY, like this: [1] CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=0 autoboot with no delay, but you can abort it by key input [2] CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=-1 disable autoboot [3] CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=-2 autoboot with no delay, with no check for abort This commit converts the logic as follow: CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=0 && CONFIG_ZERO_BOOTDELAY_CHECK=n --> CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=-2 Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com> Reviewed-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de> Acked-by: Igor Grinberg <grinberg@compulab.co.il> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Acked-by: Vladimir Zapolskiy <vz@mleia.com> Reviewed-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de> Acked-by: Christian Riesch <christian.riesch@omicronenergy.com> Acked-by: Hannes Schmelzer <hannes.schmelzer@br-automation.com>
