2021-09-04i2c: Convert CONFIG_POWER_I2C et al to KconfigSimon Glass1-2/+0
This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_POWER_I2C CONFIG_POWER_LEGACY They are handled at the same time due to a dependency between them. Update the Makefile rule to use legacy power only in U-Boot proper. Unfortunately a separate rule is needed in SPL to be able to build legacy power. Add SPL related symbols for both, to allow for SPL-only usage. 2021-09-04power: Rename CONFIG_POWER to CONFIG_POWER_LEGACYSimon Glass1-1/+1
This option is used in pre-driver model code and much of it has never been converted to driver model. We want to add a new option to enable power support, so we can use a simple rule in the Makefile. Rename this one, which is really about a particular implementation of power. Also update the pmic.h header file so it either includes the legacy API or the driver model one. First, we convert CONFIG_SYS_I2C_LEGACY to Kconfig. Next, as you cannot have SYS_I2C_LEGACY and DM_I2C at the same time, introduce CONFIG_SPL_SYS_I2C_LEGACY so that we can enable the legacy option only in SPL. 2021-07-28i2c: Rename CONFIG_SYS_I2C to CONFIG_SYS_I2C_LEGACYSimon Glass1-1/+1
It is quite confusing that CONFIG_SYS_I2C selects the legacy I2C and CONFIG_DM_I2C selects the current I2C. The deadline to migrate I2C is less than a year away. Also we want to have a CONFIG_I2C for U-Boot proper just like we have CONFIG_SPL_I2C for SPL, so we can simplify the Makefile rules. Rename this symbol so it is clear it is going away. 2020-05-08cmd: mem: Remove CONFIG_SYS_MEMTEST_SCRATCH mappingMichal Simek1-1/+0
There is no real need to exactly define space for saving patterns for alternate memory test. It is much easier to allocate space on the stack and use it instead of trying to find out space where pattern should be saved. For example if you want to test the whole DDR memory you can't save patter to DDR and you need to find it out. On Xilinx devices DDR or OCM addresses were chosen but that means that OCM needs to be mapped and U-Boot has access permission there. It is easier to remove this limitation and simply save it on stack because it is very clear that memory test can't rewrite U-Boot and U-Boot has also full access to memory where runs from. - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. In some cases platforms have a complex scheme around this usage, and these have been defered for the moment so that platform maintainers can work on a migration plan. This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_NAND CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_UBI CONFIG_ENV_IS_NOWHERE In fact this already exists for sunxi as a 'choice' config. However not all the choices are available in Kconfig yet so we cannot use that. It would lead to more than one option being set. In addition, one purpose of this series is to allow the environment to be stored in more than one place. So the existing choice is converted to a normal config allowing each option to be set independently. There are not many opportunities for Kconfig updates to reduce the size of this patch. This was tested with ./tools/moveconfig.py -i CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC And then manual updates. This is because for CHAIN_OF_TRUST boards they can only have ENV_IS_NOWHERE set, so we enforce that via Kconfig logic now. 2017-04-07Remove various unused interrupt related codeTom Rini1-2/+0
With d53ecad92f06 some unused interrupt related code was removed. However all of these options are currently unused. Rather than migrate some of these options to Kconfig we just remove the code in question. The only related code changes here are that in some cases we use CONFIG_STACKSIZE in non-IRQ related context. We repeated partial moves for CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH, but this is not completed. Finish this work by the tool. During this move, let's rename it to CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH.
