2021-09-07arm: Disable ATAGs supportTom Rini1-5/+0
With the exceptions of ds109, ds414, icnova-a20-swac, nokia_rx51 and stemmy, disable ATAG support. A large number of platforms had enabled support but never supported a kernel so old as to require it. Further, some platforms are old enough to support both, but are well supported by devicetree booting, and have been for a number of years. This is because some of the ATAGs related functions have been re-used to provide the same kind of information, but for devicetree or just generally to inform the user. When needed still, rename these functions to get_board_revision() instead, to avoid conflicts. In other cases, these functions were simply unused, so drop them. 2020-05-08cmd: mem: Remove CONFIG_SYS_MEMTEST_SCRATCH mappingMichal Simek1-1/+0
There is no real need to exactly define space for saving patterns for alternate memory test. It is much easier to allocate space on the stack and use it instead of trying to find out space where pattern should be saved. For example if you want to test the whole DDR memory you can't save patter to DDR and you need to find it out. On Xilinx devices DDR or OCM addresses were chosen but that means that OCM needs to be mapped and U-Boot has access permission there. It is easier to remove this limitation and simply save it on stack because it is very clear that memory test can't rewrite U-Boot and U-Boot has also full access to memory where runs from. - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. 2019-04-13configs: move CONFIG_MXC_OCOTP to KconfigMarcel Ziswiler1-2/+0
While commit 3e020f03e94f ("driver: misc: add MXC_OCOTP Kconfig entry") introduced a Kconfig entry it did not actually migrate all configurations to using it. As CONFIG_MXC_OCOTP was in mx{6/7}_common.h enable it by default on those architectures. Additionally, also enable it on ARCH_IMX8M and ARCH_VF610 where all current members enabled it through their legacy configuration header files. Migrate boards which set bootlimit in the environment to Kconfig. We exclude gurnard_defconfig which includes a bootlimit=, but doesn't set CONFIG_BOOTCOUNT_LIMIT, so we'd fail to include a bootlimit setting if we migrated it. display5_defconfig and display5_factory_defconfig share a SYS_CONFIG_NAME, but only display5_defconfig enables CONFIG_BOOTCOUNT_LIMIT, so we fail to set bootlimit= in display5_factory_defconfig. This is okay because the display5_factory_defconfig doesn't need to have it set, as it is only meant to prepare the board in the factory. Environment changes for all modified configs as seen from buildman: boards.cfg is up to date. Nothing to do. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents.
