2021-09-07arm: Disable ATAGs supportTom Rini1-3/+0
With the exceptions of ds109, ds414, icnova-a20-swac, nokia_rx51 and stemmy, disable ATAG support. A large number of platforms had enabled support but never supported a kernel so old as to require it. Further, some platforms are old enough to support both, but are well supported by devicetree booting, and have been for a number of years. This is because some of the ATAGs related functions have been re-used to provide the same kind of information, but for devicetree or just generally to inform the user. When needed still, rename these functions to get_board_revision() instead, to avoid conflicts. In other cases, these functions were simply unused, so drop them. - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. 2019-11-21env: Remove useless CONFIG_ENV_SIZE_REDUND and fix ENV_IS_REDUND checkTom Rini1-1/+0
We have CONFIG_ENV_SIZE_IS_REDUND but don't really use it. We have one board where we can simply multiple CONFIG_ENV_SIZE by two for the same result. The other place where we could but were not previously using this is for where env_internal.h checks for if we should set ENV_IS_EMBEDDED. This seems like the most likely use, historically, of the variable, but it was not used. Add logic to check for this now. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. 2017-10-31configs: vf610: increase maximum size and enforce correct limitStefan Agner1-2/+2
On Vybrid SoCs U-Boot gets loaded into GFX SRAM which is 512KiB. Currently 32KiB is reserved for the IMX header. However, this is not reflected in the size limit. In v2017.11-rc2 the actual size limit (512KiB-32KiB) has been reached for Colibri VF61, which lead to a successful build of U-Boot but not a working binary. The IMX header is much smaller than 32KiB, typically around 1KiB. Decrease the reserved size to 4KiB and specify the correct U-Boot size limit. This commit removes definitions of CONFIG_SYS_BARGSIZE defined to be equal to CONFIG_SYS_CBSIZE in numerous configuration files. We remove such definitions in two situations: - CONFIG_SYS_CBSIZE is otherwise not defined in the board configuration file, which means the default value of CONFIG_SYS_CBSIZE == 256 applies. In this case, the default value of CONFIG_SYS_BARGSIZE == 512 (common/image.c) is suitable, as it is larger. - CONFIG_SYS_CBSIZE is defined in the board configuration file, but to a value equal or less than 512. In this case, the default value of CONFIG_SYS_BARGSIZE == 512 (common.image.c) is suitable, as it is equal or larger. 2017-04-07Remove various unused interrupt related codeTom Rini1-6/+0
With d53ecad92f06 some unused interrupt related code was removed. However all of these options are currently unused. Rather than migrate some of these options to Kconfig we just remove the code in question. The only related code changes here are that in some cases we use CONFIG_STACKSIZE in non-IRQ related context. 2017-01-31mmc: move CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC to KconfigMasahiro Yamada1-2/+0
Now, CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC seems equivalent to CONFIG_MMC. Let's create an entry for "config GENERIC_MMC" with "default MMC", then convert all macro defines in headers to Kconfig. Almost all of the defines will go away. I see only two exceptions: configs/blanche_defconfig configs/sandbox_noblk_defconfig They define CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC, but not CONFIG_MMC. Something might be wrong with these two boards, so should be checked later. Anyway, this is the output of the moveconfig tool. 2016-12-29mmc: complete unfinished move of CONFIG_MMCMasahiro Yamada1-1/+0
Commit 7a777f6d6f35 ("mmc: Add generic Kconfig option") created a Kconfig entry for this option without any actual moves, then commit 44c798799f66 ("sunxi: Use Kconfig CONFIG_MMC") moved instances only for SUNXI. We generally do not like such partial moves. This kind of work is automated by tools/moveconfig.py, so it is pretty easy to complete this move. I am adding "default ARM || PPC || SANDBOX" (suggested by Tom). This shortens the configs and will ease new board porting. 2016-10-06pcm052: allow specifying onboard DDR size in configsAlbert ARIBAUD \(3ADEV\)1-2/+3
