2020-12-04arm: tegra: define fdtfile option for distro bootPeter Robinson1-0/+6
For booting via UEFI we need to define the fdtfile option so bootefi has the option to load a fdtfile from disk. For arm64 the kernel dtb is located in a vendor directory so we define that as nvidia for that architecture. - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. 2019-01-19Kconfig: Migrate BOUNCE_BUFFERPhilipp Tomsich1-3/+0
The bounce buffer is used by a few drivers (most of the MMC drivers) to overcome limitations in their respective DMA implementation. This moves the configuration to Kconfig and makes it user-selectable (even though it will be a required feature to make those drivers work): the expected usage is for drivers depending on this to 'select' it unconditionally from their respective Kconfig (see follow-up patches). This commit includes a full migration using moveconfig.py to ensure that each commit compiles. To ensure bisectability we update dependencies of various drivers to now select BOUNCE_BUFFER when needed. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_CONS_INDEX We have existing entries for this option in a number of places, with different guards on them. They're also sometimes used for things not directly inside of the serial driver. First, introduce a new symbol to guard the use of CONFIG_CONS_INDEX, so that in the case where we don't need this for the serial driver, but for some other use, we can still do it. Next, consolidate all of these into the single entry in drivers/serial/Kconfig. Finally, introduce CONS_INDEX_[023456] so that we can imply a correct value here to make the defconfig side of this smaller. This should be plenty to accommodate the current DTBs (max 64 KiB), early malloc region (6KiB), stack usage, and plenty of slack, while still not placing it too far away from the U-Boot binary. 2016-09-27ARM: tegra: increase console buffer size and sys args numBryan Wu1-2/+3
The Linux-for-Tegra kernel uses a very long command line. The default value of CONFIG_SYS_CBSIZE is too small to printf out the long command line and causes a message like: bootarg overflow 602+0+0+1 > 512 on the console, and the board refuses to boot. The default value of CONFIG_SYS_MAXARGS is too small to add a long long command line, and the kernel won't boot without the complete bootargs. Increasing these two config options solves this problem. Future chips will contain different GPIO HW. This change will enable future SoC support to select the appropriate GPIO driver for their HW, in a future-looking fashion, using Kconfig. TEGRA_GPIO is not simply selected by TEGRA_COMMON (even though all current Tegra chips used this GPIO HW) to simplify the later addition of support for Tegra SoCs that use different GPIO HW. There are already two FIT options in Kconfig but the CONFIG options are still in the header files. We need to do a proper move to fix this. Move these options to Kconfig and tidy up board configuration: CONFIG_FIT CONFIG_OF_BOARD_SETUP CONFIG_OF_SYSTEM_SETUP CONFIG_FIT_SIGNATURE CONFIG_FIT_BEST_MATCH CONFIG_FIT_VERBOSE CONFIG_OF_STDOUT_VIA_ALIAS CONFIG_RSA Unfortunately the first one is a little complicated. We need to make sure this option is not enabled in SPL by this change. Also this option is enabled automatically in the host builds by defining CONFIG_FIT in the image.h file. To solve this, add a new IMAGE_USE_FIT #define which can be used in files that are built on the host but must also build for U-Boot and SPL. Note: Masahiro's moveconfig.py script is amazing. 2015-11-12ARM: tegra: simplify GPU setupAlexandre Courbot1-0/+2
Enable the GPU node in the system-wide ft_system_setup() hook instead of the board-specific ft_board_hook(). This allows us to enable GPU per SoC generation instead of per-board as we did initially. We have finished Generic Board conversion for ARM and PowerPC, i.e. all the boards have been converted except OpenRISC, SuperH, SPARC, which have not supported Generic Board framework yet. 2015-09-12ARM: tegra: fix malloc region sizingStephen Warren1-14/+0
Commit 52a7c98a1772 "tegra-common: increase malloc pool len by dfu mmc file buffer size" updated the definition of CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_LEN for Tegra to take account of the DFU buffer size. However, this change had no effect, since typical Tegra board config headers don't set the DFU- related defines until after tegra-common.h is included. Fix this by moving the affected conditional code to tegra-common-post.h, which is included last. Also move the definition of SYS_NONCACHED_MEMORY since it's a related and adjacent definition. Fix the condition to test for the DFU feature, rather than specifically MMC DFU support, so it applies in all cases. Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
