An XHCI controller that sits behind an IOMMU needs to map and unmap its memory buffers to do DMA. Implement this by inroducing new xhci_dma_map() and xhci_dma_unmap() helper functions. The xhci_dma_map() function replaces the existing xhci_virt_to_bus() function in the sense that it returns the bus address in the case of simple address translation in the absence of an IOMMU. The xhci_bus_to_virt() function is eliminated by storing the CPU address of the allocated scratchpad memory in struct xhci_ctrl. While as much dead code has been removed as possible, some of these locations are simply less obvious at first. 2021-09-22usb: xhci-pci: Move reset logic out of XHCI coreSamuel Holland1-2/+0
Resetting an XHCI controller inside xhci_register undoes any register setup performed by the platform driver. And at least on the Allwinner H6, resetting the XHCI controller also resets the PHY, which prevents the controller from working. That means the controller must be taken out of reset before initializing the PHY, which must be done before calling xhci_register. The logic in the XHCI core was added to support the Raspberry Pi 4 (although this was not mentioned in the commit log!), which uses the xhci-pci platform driver. Move the reset logic to the platform driver, where it belongs, and where it cannot interfere with other platform drivers. This also fixes a failure to call reset_free if xhci_register failed. So far we've been content with passing physical addresses when configuring memory addresses into XHCI controllers, but not all platforms have buses with transparent mappings. Specifically the Raspberry Pi 4 might introduce an offset to memory accesses incoming from its PCIe port. Introduce xhci_virt_to_bus() and xhci_bus_to_virt() to cater with these limitations, and make sure we don't break non DM users. There some vendor quirks for MTK xHCI 0.96 host controller: 1. It defines some extra SW scheduling parameters for HW to minimize the scheduling effort for synchronous and interrupt endpoints. The parameters are put into reserved DWs of slot context and endpoint context. 2. Its TDS in Normal TRB defines a number of packets that remains to be transferred for a TD after processing all Max packets in all previous TRBs. 2020-10-01usb: xhci: create one unified function to calculate TRB TD remainderChunfeng Yun1-0/+2
xhci versions 1.0 and later report the untransferred data remaining in a TD a bit differently than older hosts. We used to have separate functions for these, and needed to check host version before calling the right function. Now Mediatek host has an additional quirk on how it uses the TD Size field for remaining data. To prevent yet another function for calculating remainder we instead want to make one quirk friendly unified function. 2020-07-09usb: xhci: Use only 32-bit accesses in xhci_writeq/xhci_readqSylwester Nawrocki1-8/+0
There might be hardware configurations where 64-bit data accesses to XHCI registers are not supported properly. This patch removes the readq/writeq so always two 32-bit accesses are used to read/write 64-bit XHCI registers, similarly as it is done in Linux kernel. This patch fixes operation of the XHCI controller on RPI4 Broadcom BCM2711 SoC based board, where the VL805 USB XHCI controller is connected to the PCIe Root Complex, which is attached to the system through the SCB bridge. Even though the architecture is 64-bit the PCIe BAR is 32-bit and likely the 64-bit wide register accesses initiated by the CPU are not properly translated to a sequence of 32-bit PCIe accesses. xhci_readq(), for example, always returns same value in upper and lower 32-bits, e.g. 0xabcd1234abcd1234 instead of 0x00000000abcd1234. All TX fifo size can be different, add tx_fifo_sz_array[] into dwc2_plat_otg_data to be able to set them. tx_fifo_sz_array[] is 17 Bytes long and can contains max 16 tx fifo size (synopsys IP supports max 16 IN endpoints). First entry of tx_fifo_sz_array[] is the number of valid fifo size the array contains. In case of tx_fifo_sz_array[] doesn't contains the same number of element than max hardware endpoint, display a warning message. Compatibility with board which doesn't use tx_fifo_sz_array[] (Rockchip rk322x/rk3128/rv1108/rk3288/rk3036) is kept. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini10-21/+10
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents.
