2020-09-12dt-bindings: soc: ti: Add TI PRUSS bindingsGrzegorz Jaszczyk1-0/+320
This patch adds the bindings for the Programmable Real-Time Unit and Industrial Communication Subsystem (PRU-ICSS) present on various TI SoCs. The IP is present on multiple TI SoC architecture families including the OMAP architecture SoCs such as AM33xx, AM437x and AM57xx; and on a Keystone 2 architecture based 66AK2G SoC. It is also present on the Davinci based OMAPL138 SoCs and K3 architecture based AM65x and J721E SoCs as well. The IP has a number of sub-modules some of which are represented as their own devices. This binding covers only the top-level sub-system devices, and some sub-modules like MDIO, MII_RT (Ethernet MII_RT module with MII ports) and IEP (Industrial Ethernet Peripheral). The remaining sub-modules bindings shall be defined in the respective driver subsystem bindings folders. Couple of full examples have also been added demonstrating the devices on AM335x and AM437x SoCs. 2020-06-11dt-bindings: Remove more cases of 'allOf' containing a '$ref'Rob Herring1-6/+3
Another round of 'allOf' removals that came in this cycle. json-schema versions draft7 and earlier have a weird behavior in that any keywords combined with a '$ref' are ignored (silently). The correct form was to put a '$ref' under an 'allOf'. This behavior is now changed in the 2019-09 json-schema spec and '$ref' can be mixed with other keywords. The json-schema library doesn't yet support this, but the tooling now does a fixup for this and either way works. This has been a constant source of review comments, so let's change this treewide so everyone copies the simpler syntax. Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org>

2020-04-17dt-bindings: Clean-up schema indentation formattingRob Herring1-5/+5
Fix various inconsistencies in schema indentation. Most of these are list indentation which should be 2 spaces more than the start of the enclosing keyword. This doesn't matter functionally, but affects running scripts which do transforms on the schema files. 2020-03-31dt-bindings: Add missing 'additionalProperties: false'Rob Herring1-0/+2
Setting 'additionalProperties: false' is frequently omitted, but is important in order to check that there aren't extra undocumented properties in a binding. Ideally, we'd just add this automatically and make this the default, but there's some cases where it doesn't work. For example, if a common schema is referenced, then properties in the common schema aren't part of what's considered for 'additionalProperties'. Also, sometimes there are bus specific properties such as 'spi-max-frequency' that go into bus child nodes, but aren't defined in the child node's schema. So let's stick with the json-schema defined default and add 'additionalProperties: false' where needed. This will be a continual review comment and game of wack-a-mole. Qualcomm SoCs (starting with MSM8998) allow for multiple protection domains (PDs) to run on the same Q6 sub-system. This allows for services like AVS AUDIO to have their own separate address space and crash/recover without disrupting the other PDs running on the same Q6 ADSP. Add "qcom,protection-domain" bindings to capture the dependencies between the APR service and the PD on which the apr service runs.
