2024-04-07dt-bindings: dma: snps,dma-spear1340: Fix data{-,_}width schemaRob Herring1-21/+21
'data-width' and 'data_width' properties are defined as arrays, but the schema is defined as a matrix. That works currently since everything gets decoded in to matrices, but that is internal to dtschema and could change. 2022-05-19dt-bindings: dmaengine: Introduce RZN1 DMA compatibleMiquel Raynal1-1/+7
Just like for the NAND controller that is also on this SoC, let's provide a SoC generic and a more specific couple of compatibles for the DMA controller. 2020-12-19dt-bindings: Fix JSON pointersRob Herring1-5/+5
The correct syntax for JSON pointers begins with a '/' after the '#'. Without a '/', the string should be interpreted as a subschema identifier. The jsonschema module currently doesn't handle subschema identifiers and incorrectly allows JSON pointers to begin without a '/'. Let's fix this before it becomes a problem when jsonschema module is fixed. 2020-08-17dt-bindings: dma: dw: Add optional DMA-channels mask cell supportSerge Semin1-2/+5
Each DW DMA controller channel can be synthesized with different parameters like maximum burst-length, multi-block support, maximum data width, etc. Most of these parameters determine the DW DMAC channels performance in its own aspect. On the other hand these parameters can be implicitly responsible for the channels performance degradation (for instance multi-block support is a very useful feature, but having it disabled during the DW DMAC synthesize will provide a more optimized core). Since DMA slave devices may have critical dependency on the DMA engine performance, let's provide a way for the slave devices to have the DMA-channels allocated from a pool of the channels, which according to the system engineer fulfill their performance requirements. The pool is determined by a mask optionally specified in the fifth DMA-cell of the DMA DT-property. If the fifth cell is omitted from the phandle arguments or the mask is zero, then the allocation will be performed from a set of all channels provided by the DMA controller. 2020-07-27dt-bindings: dma: dw: Convert DW DMAC to DT bindingSerge Semin1-0/+161
Modern device tree bindings are supposed to be created as YAML-files in accordance with dt-schema. This commit replaces the Synopsis Designware DMA controller legacy bare text bindings with YAML file. The only required prorties are "compatible", "reg", "#dma-cells" and "interrupts", which will be used by the driver to correctly find the controller memory region and handle its events. The rest of the properties are optional, since in case if either "dma-channels" or "dma-masters" isn't specified, the driver will attempt to auto-detect the IP core configuration.
